DEAD SEA - JORDAN

20th July 2010 - Dead Sea - Jordan

The lowest place on Earth, The Dea Sea is an amazing place. With a maximum lenght of 67 Kms and deep up to almost 400 meters the Dead Sea gives you unforgettable feelings. It is going to disappeared in 40 years if the humans do not limit the exploitation of its resources and keep working on a new pipeline that will take the water from the Read Sea to fill in his basin after a journey of hundreds of Kilometers. The only hope so far to save this wonderful place.

FLIGHT FROM TEL-AVIV TO AMMAN

20th July 2010 - From Tel-Aviv to Amman

After one hour of security check at the Tel-Aviv airport (they checked every single molecule of my luggages and my body) I am fying to Amman over a desertic area typical of this part of world. In my lunch-box only one tomatoe so I was wondering who is the genius decided that.. why only one? why not two or five? Airplane (not low-cost flights where you have to pay extra for food) is for rich people why those customers like to have trash food instead of healthy vegetables and fruits? I guess it depends on the company (also based on my esperience) but one tomato of the diameter of a little more than one cm is an offense!! :)

Negev desert, Southern Israel on the way to the Red Sea and Sinai. A wonderful place!! We have the honor to spend the night in one of the remotest places in the desert next to the Beduins.. only desert and a wonderful sky full of stars. on the way back to Tel-Aviv we met the mountains goats, typical of this region and a symbol, they made us a surprise appearing suddenly and pose for our photos..

TEL-AVIV

9th July 2010

Tel-Aviv really a nice city.. being also on the seaside has a pleasant atmosphere, full of young people with new places to eat and hang out flourishing in every area of the city.. It is difficult to think that all of this happens in a region of the world that is constantly in war with no peace... My friend Keren told me Tel-Aviv is a new frontier, like Berlin in Europe and I have no doubt this is the truth... Look at some pictures of the city beaches... I do like Tel-Aviv

FIRST FLIGHT FROM ROME TO LONDON THEN TEL-AVIV

8th July 2010

I am on my first flight from Rome to London then to Tel-Aviv as the first step of this long trip.. It looks a paradox but this is the excitement while I am traveling, wish of knowledge or because I am influenced by the book I am reading ("Un indovino mi disse" author: Terzani) that I am feeling conscious of living an adventure that will be the beginning of a renewed life... I am leaving because I want to hug entirely my life again.. the trip as a medium for reaching that... I am leaving because each person is a trip in the trip of everyone else... so I wish to share it with all of you.. while I am writing so some tears appear.. My heart goes to my mother and father, my brother Francesco, my sister Patrizia and her family, my friends ..the trip into my heart is at the beginning...
